A man has appeared in court over an alleged sexual assault which took place on a Lanarkshire street last month.
Jamie Frame from Hamilton was remanded in custody following his appearance at the town's sheriff court on Friday, February 4.
The 26-year-old faced a charge under the Sexual Offences (Scotland) Act 2009.
He made no plea and is due to appear again within eight days.
The alleged incident is said to have happened on Pollock Avenue in Hamilton at around 9.20am on January 21.
Last week we reported that the alleged victim, a 21-year-old woman, was left badly shaken.
A police appeal was launched as officers urged members of the public to come forward with information.
It was also reported that officers were checking CCTV in and around the local area.
Detective Sergeant Scott Boyle previously confirmed that the woman "did not require medical treatment", but had been left "very shaken" by what had happened.
Police Scotland said last week: "We can confirm that a 26-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a sexual assault in Hamilton.
"The incident took place around 9.20am on Friday, 21 January in the Pollock Avenue area.
Frame was committed for further examination and remanded in custody.
