A man has appeared in court charged with rape following an alleged incident at a Scots graveyard.
A cordon was thrown up in the St Clement Street area of Aberdeen after a 32-year-old woman was allegedly attacked at around 2.20am on Sunday, May 15.
Officers remained at the scene while an investigation was launched to establish the full circumstances of the incident before cops made an arrest.
Sean Wyness, 31, has now appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court charged with rape, sexual assault by penetration and sexual assault.
The Aberdeen man made no plea at the hearing on Monday, May 23, and was committed for further examination.
He was released on bail and will reappear at court at a later date.
