A man and a woman were rescued from the River Lee in Cork city centre on Saturday morning and rushed to hospital.
The pair, understood to be in their early 30s, were spotted in the water at Anderson's Quay - by the bus station - shortly after 9am and emergency services were alerted.
Shocked bystanders watched on as members of Cork City Fire Brigade conducted a swift river rescue, pulling the man and woman to safety.

As a result of the rescue, Brian Boru Bridge was closed for almost 40 minutes on Saturday morning as the man and woman were pulled to safety and transported to Cork University Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Local traffic diversions were put in place by Gardai.
A Garda spokesperson confirmed: "Gardaí assisted local emergency services with a rescue operation that took place on the River Lee in Cork City at approximately 9:20am today, Saturday, 25th of March.
"Two persons, a man and a woman, were recovered from the water and conveyed to Cork University Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
"Diversions were put in place while emergency services attended the incident."
