A man and a woman were left lying in the road after being knocked down by a hit and run driver.
Police were called to the scene of the crash on Four Acre Drive in Litherland at around 3pm on Monday afternoon, June 6. Merseyside Police said the incident involved a man and a woman who were hit by a silver Ford Focus.
They suffered from minor injuries and did not require medical treatment, police said. The driver of the Ford Focus was reported to have left the scene following the crash.

A police spokesperson said: "At around 3pm this afternoon officers were called to a report of a collision involving a man, a woman and a silver Ford Focus on Four Acre Drive in Litherland. The man and the woman both sustained minor injuries that did not require medical treatment.
"The driver of the silver Ford Focus was reported to have drove off following the collision. Enquiries are ongoing and detectives are appealing to anyone with information to come forward."
