Man and woman arrested in police chase after Audi stolen at knifepoint

A man and woman have been arrested after an Audi was reportedly stolen at knifepoint.

Police spotted the car - an Audi TT - in Atherton at around midnight today (Saturday) and pursued it down Tyldesley Road. The chase lasted for around 20 minutes, officers said.

A 29-year-old man and 28-year-old woman were then arrested on suspicion of 'having stolen the vehicle earlier that evening at knifepoint'. The man was also found to be disqualified from driving, police added.
