Two males — one a teenager — were assaulted in Nottingham city centre this evening (November 29). Officers from Nottinghamshire Police are appealing for information and witnesses after the pair were assaulted in Old Market Square at 8.13pm today.
Both victims were treated at the scene for minor injuries after officers quickly attended and conducted inquiries into the incident. Temporary Inspector Declan Bourne, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “While our investigation into this incident remains in its early stages we are appealing for anyone with any information to please come forward.
“I’d appeal for anyone who saw what happened or who has any information or recorded footage to call us.”

Police say that anybody who has information that could aid detectives in their investigation should call Nottinghamshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 718 of 29 November 2022. Alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
Old Market Square is the second largest public space in the UK and hosts events all year round, including Nottingham Beach and the current Winter Wonderland.
