Authorities in Wisconsin are investigating a tragic incident where a man and his dog were discovered stabbed to death inside a home in Kenosha. The Kenosha Police Department responded to a call from the homeowner reporting a possible break-in at the property. Upon their initial visit, no one was found inside the home, but evidence was collected.
Later in the day, a second call led officers back to the residence, where they found blood outside the back door and signs of forced entry. Tragically, a deceased male with a knife wound was found in the basement, along with a dog that had also been fatally injured.
A SWAT team was called in to secure the area once it was determined to be a crime scene. Detectives and officers initiated a homicide investigation, leading to the arrest of a 41-year-old person of interest, Justin Tercek, who was apprehended in an alley that same evening.
The victim, a 52-year-old male, has not been publicly identified at this time to respect the privacy of his family. The police have not confirmed any relationship between Tercek and the victim, leaving the motive behind the tragic incident unclear.
As the investigation continues, the Kenosha Police Department expressed their condolences to the victim's family during this difficult time. The community is left shocked by this senseless act of violence, and authorities are working diligently to uncover the truth behind this heartbreaking event.
