A man was refused bail on Thursday in a case where he is alleged to have fired a shotgun three times at a Co Tyrone pub.
Robert McCrum, 50 with an address of Millix Road in Ballygawley, is charged with possession of a firearm or ammunition with intent to endanger life or property and criminal damage following the alleged incident which took place at the Tailor’s House in Ballygawley on Monday.
The court heard that police received a call from a member of staff at the bar to say that a shot had been fired at the premises.

Detective Constable Conor McMeekin told the court that it's alleged McCrum had a disagreement with persons in the premises and had been ejected from the bar earlier in the day, before returning on two separate occasions.
On the first occasion, the police allege that he arrived in a red van and a further disagreement led to McCrum pouring petrol from a jerry can near the bar.
Police say he then returned to the premises a third time in a Volkswagen Jetta with his son, who has also been charged in relation with the incident.
It is alleged that three shots were fired from the driver’s side window of the vehicle, the second of which the constable said was captured on CCTV footage from the bar.
The court heard that police believe a shotgun was the firearm used in the incident as shotgun pellets were found among the broken glass at the premises.
The constable said McCrum presented himself to Dungannon police station on Wednesday 31 August, and told police he had been to a motorbike show in Slane, Co Meath.
Police say the defendant gave an account of what had happened but that the account ‘did not stand up to scrutiny’.
Defence solicitor Colin Donnelly argued that the defendant should be granted bail, however District Judge Connolly said there were serious concerns around the defendant allegedly returning to the premises on two occasions.
The judge refused bail on the basis that he may have access to firearms and the proximity of the defendant’s home to the Tailor’s House.
He was remanded into custody and will appear at Dungannon Magistrates Court on 21 September.
