A man has had to be airlifted to a hospital in Co. Clare after being involved in a tractor accident, according to reports.
Clare FM reports that the alarm was raised at around 4.30 pm today when a tractor overturned on a local farm.
Emergency services rushed to the scene alongside the National Ambulance Service paramedics, Gardaí and Clare County Fire and Rescue Service crews.
An air ambulance was also drafted in to help with the incident.
After receiving a call for help at Knocknagaroon on the Loop Head peninsula, National Ambulance Service paramedics arrived and treated the man.
According to the report, he was in his 30s and lost control of the tractor which then overturned.
The man managed to get out of the tractor as responders arrived on the scene.
He was taken into care by the crew of the Cork-based charity-run Irish Community Air Ambulance which landed in a field nearby.
He is now being treated at the University Hospital Limerick and his injuries are thought to be non-life-threatening injuries.
