Man 'aggressive towards woman with cerebral palsy' in Covid row in lift captured on CCTV

An elderly woman with cerebral palsy was allegedly angrily confronted by a man in a lift after telling him she was afraid of Covid.

The 72-year-old had wanted to use the elevator at the Victoria Centre, in Nottingham, alone because of her vulnerabilities to the virus.

However, in CCTV footage images released by Nottinghamshire Police, a man is seen using his foot against the lift doors.

In another grab his is seen standing next to the woman in the lift.

The woman appears to be wearing a face shield.

Police say when the woman asked if she could use the lift alone as she was feared catching coronavirus, the man became aggressive and reportedly made a derogatory comment about her disability.
