Good evening, these are the latest ECHO headlines on Monday, April 4.

Traffic stops as two men launch into violent street fight at busy junction

A fight broke out between two men at a busy junction in Crosby. Mobile phone footage has emerged which shows two men punching each other in the middle of the road. The fight is said to have taken place at the junction of Crosby Road North and South Road on Friday (April 1) tea-time.

The two men are seen fighting as drivers sound their horns in protest. The ECHO has shared the disturbing footage with police.

The fight is thought to have been between two drivers who got out of their cars to settle a dispute. One of the men, who wore a dark tracksuit, appears to have been in his 20s. The other man appears to have been in his late 30s or 40s.

Toward the end of the clip the older man landed a succession of heavy blows on his opponent. At this point one driver is seen to get out of his car.

Easter weekend weather 2022: what is the forecast for the Easter holidays?

There are two bank holidays this month on a Friday and Monday - meaning a long weekend is in store.

The first bank holiday, for Good Friday, will be on Friday, April 15, and the second for Easter Monday will be on Monday, April 18. Good Friday will be celebrated across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. However, Scotland will not observe Easter Monday.

Man admits he murdered Liverpool fan and 'devoted dad' outside his home

A man has admitted murdering a beloved dad of four and LFC fan in a stab attack in south Liverpool.

Joshua Morgan attacked Paul Morgan on Prince William Street in Dingle in September 2020. The 39 year old died in hospital after being found in the street with a wound to his chest.

His devastated partner of over two decades described him as a “devoted father” who was “never without a smile”. Joshua Morgan, 22, was due to go on trial at Liverpool Crown Court today but changed his plea to guilty this afternoon.

Emergency services were called to the Dingle area on the afternoon of September 19, 2020, following reports a man had been stabbed. Despite attempts to save his life, he died in hospital shortly afterwards.

A post mortem found his death was caused by a stab wound to his chest. The death of the 39-year-old prompted tributes to a “true gentleman”.
