A man has been charged with murder after a 51-year-old Queensland woman was found unresponsive during a welfare check.
Her Bribie Island home was declared a crime scene and a homicide investigation began after the police visit on Thursday.
A 47-year-old man had been questioned by police in the days following, before being charged with murder on Tuesday.
It will be alleged the pair were known to each other.
"The crime scene itself, as with all crime scenes, was very confronting for first responders," Detective Inspector Ben Fadian said last week.
The man faces one charge of murder as a domestic violence offence, enter dwelling with intent, robbery and contravening an order "about information necessary to access information stored electronically".
Bail was refused and he is due to appear before the Caboolture Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
