An 80-year-old man was rushed to hospital with head injuries after a collision with a car in Fallowfield.
The incident happened on Birchfields Road (A34) beside the retail park on Thursday afternoon (February 24).
The road was closed off by police in both directions between Old Hall Lane and Moseley Road after the collision, at around 1pm.

There was a large emergency services response to the incident, which appeared to involve an Audi which was badly damaged.

Stagecoach announced their bus services were delayed by as much as 30 minutes as diversions were put in place.
The incident cleared at 3pm and Birchfields Road reopened.
A spokesperson for the North West Ambulance Service said: "We responded to an RTC involving a pedestrian.

"A man in his 80s was taken to hospital with a head injury."
It comes just days after a 71-year-old woman was killed and a 64-year-old man was seriously injured in a horror crash on the same stretch of road, near Parrs Wood.
Greater Manchester Police have been approached for more information.
