A man in his 60s has died following a single-vehicle crash in Co Meath.
The incident happened in the early hours of Sunday morning at around 12.25am at Robertstown near Kilmainhamwood.
Gardai and emergency services rushed to the scene and the man, who was the only person in the vehicle, was taken to Our Lady's Hospital in Navan where he was pronounced dead.
A post-mortem examination will take place at a later date.
Gardai have closed the road at Robertstown, Kilmainhamwood while they await Forensic Collision Investigators and local diversions are in place.
They are appealing for anyone who may have seen the crash to contact them.
A garda spokesperson said: "Gardaí in Navan are investigating a fatal single vehicle road traffic collision that occurred at approximately 12:25am on Sunday, 13th February, 2022, at Robertstown, Kilmainhamwood, County Meath.
"The sole occupant of the vehicle involved, a man in his 60s, was taken to Our Lady's Hospital in Navan where he was pronounced dead. A post-mortem will be conducted at a later date.
"The road at Robertstown, Kilmainhamwood, is currently closed and the services of Forensic Collision Investigators have been requested. Local diversions are in place.
"Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to this collision to come forward and for any road users who were travelling in the area at this time and who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) to make this footage available to them.
