A man has died after his car hit a bus stop.
Police are appealing for witnesses and camera footage after a man died in a crash in Burscough last night. Lancashire Police confirmed officers were called to Liverpool Road South at around 9.35pm on Monday, January 2.
Emergency services were called to reports that a Vauxhall Astra had hit a bus stop, with the driver, a 60-year-old man, later dying in hospital.

A spokesperson from the force said: "We are appealing for witnesses and dashboard-mounted camera footage after a man died in a road traffic collision in Burscough.
"The incident happened on Liverpool Road South at 9.35pm yesterday (January 2). A Vauxhall Astra car was in collision with a bus stop and very sadly the driver, a 60-year-old man, later died in hospital.
"Our thoughts are with his family at this difficult time. Anyone who witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage from the area around the time, please contact 101 - quoting log 1140 of January 2, 2023."
