A 54-year-old man from Wilmslow has died after a car came off the road and crashed.
Emergency services were called to the scene of the smash in Holmes Chapel yesterday afternoon (Tuesday). A car came off the road on Middlewich Road, near the junction of Bank Farm Grove, at around 3.25pm.
The Grey Toyota, which was travelling towards the village, then smashed into foliage, police said. The driver was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.

His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers. Enquiries into the crash are ongoing.
Middlewich Road was closed off by police after the incident yesterday. Traffic was diverted away from the area as investigations were carried out.
Cheshire Police are now appealing for any witnesses to come forward. They particularly want to speak to anyone who has dash-cam footage from around the time of the crash.
