Man, 52, swallows heroin and crack cocaine in bid to trick police

A 52-year-old man swallowed a number of wraps of crack cocaine and heroin before being arrested.

The man was seen by officers on St Johns Road in Waterloo on Sunday, May 8, taking part in a drug transaction. He was later detained by police but managed to swallow a number of wraps of suspected crack cocaine and heroin.

He was also found with a mobile phone and cash when arrested. The man was taken to custody where officers waited for the bags of drugs to pass. Merseyside Police took to social media to share the news.

Sefton Police Facebook page posted yesterday: "Operation Pelican have this evening arrested a 52-year-old male in the Waterloo area for drug supply offences.

"Officers have sighted the male in a drug transaction on St Johns Road, Waterloo, before shortly later he was detained. The male has managed to swallow numerous wraps of suspected Crack Cocaine and Heroin. Cash and a mobile were also recovered.

"The male is now in custody whilst officers wait for him to pass the drugs!"
