Officers were called to Trinity Crescent in the early hours of Wednesday to reports a man was suffering serious injuries.

London Ambulance Service and the local air ambulance attended but Mr McKay was pronounced dead at the scene.

A post-mortem examination held on Thursday at St George’s Mortuary found the cause of death to be stab wounds.

A man and a woman, both aged in their 40s, were arrested at the scene on suspicion of murder. They were taken into custody before being released on bail and have since been told that no further action will be taken.

Specialist officers are investigating. Anyone with information that may assist the investigation is asked to call 101 or tweet @MetCC and quote CAD reference 349/27Jul. To contact Crimestoppers anonymously, call 0800 555 111.
