Two cars were deliberately set on fire this weekend in Wirral.
Emergency services were called to Mossley Road, in Tranmere, to reports of a car on fire at around 11.30pm on Sunday, October 9. Despite the quick response from Merseyside fire and rescue service, significant damage was caused.
A short time later, on Elderwood Road, another car was deliberately set on fire. Police have confirmed that no injuries were reported in connection to the incidents.

Officers have now arrested a 45-year-old man, from Tranmere, on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life and attempted arson.
Peter Rexwinkel, community policing inspector, said: "Although nobody was injured, it is only through the swift response of the fire service that the fires did not spread, potentially to nearby houses. We understand the concern that such incidents can cause in our communities and will act on all information provided to remove such risks.
"Although a man is now in custody and will be questioned, detectives would still like to hear from anyone who saw or heard anything, or captured the incidents on their own dashcam, CCTV or doorbell footage, all of which could be vital as this investigation continues.
