Man, 44, dies after being injured at building site in Glasgow's east end

A man has died after an incident at a building site in Glasgow's east end.

Emergency services were called to the site on Stepford Road around 10.50am on Wednesday morning following reports of a man being injured.

The 44-year-old man couldn't be saved and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigations are now ongoing into the full circumstances of the incident and the Health and Safety Executive has been informed.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers received a report of a 44-year-old man having been injured at a building site on Stepford Road in Glasgow around 10.50am on Wednesday, 11 May, 2022.

"Emergency services attended, however, the man died at the scene.

“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and the Health and Safety Executive has been informed.”
