A 41-year-old man has died in a crash that shut both directions of the M4 for more than eight hours. Police said that the driver of a black Audi A3 died after the crash, that happened at around 9.20pm on Monday (March 21) on the eastbound carriageway between junction 35 Pencoed and junction 34 Miskin.
A statement from South Wales Police on Tuesday said: "The collision involved a black Audi A3. The driver of the Audi, a 41 year-old man from Llanishen, was pronounced dead at the scene."
The statement added: "The M4 junction 35-34 in both directions were closed for a number of hours and those affected are thanked for their understanding." Traffic Wales said that further investigations were being carried out at the scene on Tuesday morning.
