A man in his 40s has been rushed to hospital in serious condition tonight following an alleged stabbing incident in west Dublin.
It happened at around 7pm this evening on the Main Street in Ongar. The man was taken to Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown.
Gardai have said they are investigating a serious assault that occurred this evening. The investigation is currently in its early stages.
A garda spokeswoman told Dublin Live: "Gardaí in Blanchardstown are investigating a serious assault that occurred on Main Street, Ongar this evening, Tuesday 13th June, 2023 at approximately 7p.m. One male, aged in his 40s, has been removed from the scene in a serious condition to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown.
"Enquiries ongoing as this is the early stage of the investigation. Updates will follow."
