A 38-year-old man appeared in court yesterday charged with the murder of a Slovakian man in Co Kildare last month.
Damien Szatkowski, with an address at Peachville, Kilshane, Dublin 11, was brought before a special sitting of Naas District Court.
He was charged with the murder of Marcel Kusenda, who was found with serious injuries outside a house in Piercetown, Newbridge, on March 8. He died two days later.

Judge Desmond Zaidan granted an application for legal aid, subject to a statement of means being provided to the court.
Damien Szatkowski made no comment during the brief appearance other than to confirm there was no language barrier and he did not require a translator.
He was remanded in custody to Cloverhill Prison in Dublin to appear before Naas District Court via videolink on Thursday, April 27.
