A man was rushed to hospital in the early hours of the morning after being stabbed.
Police were called to reports that a man had been found injured on Kendrick Street, Warrington at 12.15am on Monday (June 13). Officers attended the scene, near the Town Hall, and found a 36-year-old man, who had suffered a puncture wound to his thigh, reports CheshireLive.
An investigation was launched and a 36-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of section 18 assault - causing grievous bodily harm with intent. A cordon remained in place at Warrington Town Hall car park during the afternoon.

A spokesperson for Cheshire Police said: "At around 12.15am on Monday, June 13 police were contacted by ambulance to reports that a man had been found injured on Kendrick Street. Officers attended the scene and found that a 36-year-old local man had sustained a puncture wound to his thigh.
“He has since been taken to hospital. Enquiries in relation to how the man sustained the injury are ongoing. As part of the investigation, a 36-year-old local man has been arrested on suspicion of section 18 assault.”
