A man was seriously injured in Leeds at the weekend in a machete attack that has left him in hospital.
West Yorkshire Police said they were called out to Wykebeck Road in Halton Moor at 9.13pm on Sunday, October 16. The man, 35, had a serious wound to his arm after being assaulted with a machete.
He is still in hospital receiving treatment, though police said his injuries aren't thought to be life-threatening. Pictures from the scene on Sunday showed a cordon in place on Wykebeck Road.

Police are continuing to investigate the incident which happened on an estate which has previously been nicknamed "The Zoo" due to high crime rates.
A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "At 9.13pm on Sunday, police were called to an incident in Wykebeck Road, Leeds, where a 35-year-old man had been assaulted with a machete and received a serious wound to his arm.
"He was taken to hospital and is continuing to receive treatment to his injuries which are serious but not considered life threatening. Detectives from Leeds District CID are continuing to carry out enquiries into the incident."
