AN investigation has been launched after a man was found dead following a disturbance in South Lanarkshire.
Police were called to Springhill Street in Douglas at around 8.35pm on Sunday after reports of a disturbance.
A 35-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Officers confirmed the death is being treated as suspicious.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “An investigation is under way following the death of a 35-year-old man in Lanark.
“Around 8.35pm, on Sunday, April 13, 2025, police received a report of a disturbance in Springhill Street, Lanark. Emergency services attended and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
“His family has been notified.
“A postmortem examination will be carried out in due course and officers are treating the death as suspicious.
“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
