A 35-year-old man has been charged after a 12-year-old boy was stabbed in Plaistow.
Okan Boran, 35, of Hackney, was charged with causing grievous bodily harm with intent and threatening a person with a blade in a public place.
He will appear in custody at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Thursday.
A second man, aged in his 60s, was arrested and bailed until a date in late September pending further enquiries.
Police were scrambled to the scene at just after 8.15pm on Tuesday. The boy was taken to hospital for treatment; his injuries are not life-threatening.
