Man, 34, dies following serious crash in North Lanarkshire

A MAN has died following a serious crash in North Lanarkshire.

Jonathan Bruce, 34, died in hospital on September 1 following the single vehicle crash in Cumbernauld, which happened on the A8011, Glasgow Road, at around 9.05pm on August 17.

Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and officers continue to appeal for information.

Jonathan’s family issued the following statement: “Jonny was a loving, caring husband, and a doting Dad to his three children. He was loved by so many and a great friend to everyone who knew him.

“We ask for privacy at what is a very difficult time for us as we try and come to terms with our loss.”

Road Policing Sergeant Ross Allison said: “Our thoughts are with Jonathan’s family and friends at this difficult time and we’ll continue to keep them updated as our investigations progress.

“I’d like to thank everyone who has come forward with information so far. Anyone who has information or dashcam footage of the area around the time, and hasn’t spoken to police yet, please get in touch.”

Anyone with information has been advised to contact police on 101 quoting incident number 3699 of August 17.
