Gardai have confirmed that a man in his 30s has been charged in relation to a shooting last week in a Dublin suburb.
The horrific incident, which saw a man in his 20s shot in the face, happened in the Cherrywood Grove area of Clondalkin on Friday, April 8, 2022.
Emergency services rushed to the scene at around 5 pm and the young victim was taken to Tallaght Hospital for treatment.

His injuries were not believed to be life threatening.
A man was then arrested on Monday afternoon, April 11, in connection with the shooting, and was detained in Clondalkin Garda Station under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act, 2007.

He has since been charged and is due to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice at 10:30 am this morning.
A statement released by An Garda Siochana this morning said: “The man in his 30s, arrested in relation to a shooting incident in Cherrywood Grove, Clondalkin has been charged.
“He is due to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice at 10:30am this morning, Saturday 16th April 2022.”
