A man has been arrested following an alleged knife attack in Rhondda Cynon Taf earlier this week. Armed police officers rushed to Cobden Street in the Aberaman area of Aberdare at around 4.10pm on Monday, April 17 after reports that someone had been stabbed.
A 52-year-old man was taken to the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff with non-life-threatening injuries following the incident. And last night South Wales Police announced that a 30-year-old man has now been apprehended.
A number of cordons remained in place in the area following the attack while police investigations continued. Officers have asked for anyone who might have any information, and has yet to get in touch, to contact them quoting 2300122900.
That can be done by either calling 101, emailing swp101@south-wales.police.uk or clicking here. A spokesperson for the force added, "Although knife crime is not a part of everyday life in South Wales, it is important that we continue taking action to prevent a problem occurring.
"Through our campaign #NotTheOne, we aim to educate people on the dangers of carrying a knife by giving parents, teachers, and community groups the tools they need to do this."
