A man who died after he was stabbed in Glasgow has been named locally as Brian Gough.
The 27-year-old sadly passed away after being attacked in broad daylight on Saracen Street in the city's Possilpark.
The incident took place on Saturday, May 18, at around 5pm.
Now, heartbroken friends of Brian have taken to social media to pay tribute to the much-loved man sharing tributes and images of him.
One said: "RIP Brian.
"Such a cruel world - so young and had his full life ahead of him.
"Thinking off all the Gough family at this sad time."
Another said: "Very shocked and sad about this news.
"Brian was a lovely boy.
"My thoughts are with the Gough family."
A third said: "Rest easy Brian."
While a fourth added: "Gutted for your family and close ones brother.
"Fly high - legends never die. There's only one Brian Gough."
Earlier today, reports said tributes has also been left at the scene of the crime including flowers and messages.
In the tributes, Brian was named as "Big Brian".
One of the kind-hearted messages read: "To Big Brian.
"We are all going to miss you brother.
"Until we meet again.
"Love from all the lads at Eco Deck."
On Monday, police announced a murder investigation had been launched.
Detective Chief Inspector Graham McCreadie said: “Our thoughts are with Brian’s family and friends at this very difficult time, and we will continue to support them as our enquiries continue.
“Following a post-mortem examination, Brian’s death is being treated as murder and extensive enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances. “We are still keen to trace two men. The first man is described as white, in his 30s, wearing a light blue top and black shorts. The second man is white, also in his 30s and wearing a white top with black shorts and back trainers. “I would again ask anyone who was in the area at the time and saw anything they believe may assist our enquiries to get in touch. If you have dash cam footage, private CCTV or doorbell footage, please let us now. You may have captured something that can assist us. “As our extensive enquiries continue, I want to reassure people there will be an increased police presence in the local area and anyone with any concerns can speak to these officers.”
