A man has been hospitalised after being stabbed repeatedly just off a south London high street.
Police were called to reports of a stabbing in Nottingham Road, Croydon at 1.30am on Tuesday.
Paramedics found the 24-year-old man with multiple stab injuries.
A Met spokesman said: “He was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital.
“A crime scene has been put in place.”
He added: “This is not being treated as life-threatening at this time.”
Nearby London Road was closed for investigations overnight but has since reopened.

It comes a week after Lucas Sutton, 22, burst into a pub seeking help suffering stab injuries. Air ambulance and police scrambled to the scene in a bid to save the victim’s life. Despite their best efforts, he was later pronounced dead.
