A man has suffered serious injuries after a car left the carriageway and crashed near Glynneath. South Wales Police confirmed they were called to a crash involving one vehicle in Merthyr Road on the evening of Tuesday, April 4. The road, also known as Rhigos Road, was closed overnight.
Two men from Aberdare were in the car, a White Fiat 500, and were both taken to hospital by ambulance as a result of the crash. A 21-year-old passenger suffered serious injuries and the 20-year-old driver has been treated for minor injuries."

A spokesperson for South Wales Police said: "Shortly before 8.30pm police were called to a single vehicle road traffic collision on Merthyr Road in Glynneath. A White Fiat 500 left the carriageway. The two occupants, both men from Aberdare, were taken by ambulance to Prince Charles Hospital, Merthyr Tydfil. A 21-year-old passenger suffered serious injuries and the 20-year-old driver has been treated for minor injuries."
