Man, 19, fighting for his life after being stabbed and shot in horror Dagenham ambush

A 19-year-old is fighting for his life after he was stabbed and shot during a brutal attack in Dagenham, east London.

The victim was riding his bike when he was ambushed by a group of men on Whalebone Lane South at about 5.20pm on Thursday.

Police and paramedics rushed to the scene following reports of a stabbing.

The man was taken to hospital where it was confirmed he had been stabbed and shot. He remains in hospital in a critical condition.

The men fled the scene in three cars, Metropolitan Police said on Friday.

Three men, two aged 19 and one aged 26, have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and are currently in custody.

Detective Iain Wallace, who is leading the investigation for the Met’s Specialist Crime Command, said: “We know that the victim was riding a bike on the street when he was attacked by a group of men who arrived at, and left the scene, in three cars.

“Three men are in custody and our enquiries are moving forward to identify the others involved.
