Man, 19, dies in Tasmania cliff fall

Tasmania Police say a man has died after falling from a cliff while bushwalking near Clifton Beach. (AAP)

A 19-year-old man has died after falling from a cliff at Cape Deslacs near Clifton Beach in Tasmania.

Emergency services were called to the scene about 3.20pm on Saturday following reports a man had fallen from a nearby cliff while bushwalking.

The Tasmania Police Westpac Rescue Helicopter winched the man from the bottom of the cliff.

He died while receiving medical treatment.

Police do not believe there were any suspicious circumstances.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
