In a brand new episode of Mama June: From Not to Hot, June Shannon, 43, shared her fears that her daughters might miss her big dream wedding in Panama City, Florida due to previous family drama.
In the new episode, the bride-to-be excitedly chatted on FaceTime with her wedding planner Edee about her upcoming wedding to fiancé Justin Stroud. She tells the planner how thrilled she is to be marrying such an amazing man and how she can't wait to reconnect with her daughters on her wedding day when they walk her down the aisle.
But after the call ends Stroud stops June saying that she needs to be more realistic with her expectations: "How are you going to tell her your daughters are going to walk you down the aisle? You don't know that yet."
The mother of four insists that her daughters including including 17-year-old Alana Thompson, also known as Honey Boo Boo, 23-year-old Lauryn Efird, 28-year-old Anna Cardwell, and 26-year-old Jessica Shannon, will all show up on her big day.
Stroud insists that because of their family history, she should not tell people that they are coming until she is positive. In a video obtained by the U.S. Sun, he reminds June that she has not seen her daughters face-to-face since their last therapy session.
In a past episode, June's three daughters Alana, Lauryn, and Jessica all sat down with her and a therapist to talk about how June's battle with her drug addiction affected their family and relationship.
In the episode Alana, aka Honey Boo Boo, shared to the therapist: "She just left us. She left us when we really needed her."
Lauryn added that she was only 17 years old when she needed to take care of Alana herself. She said that she was just a kid when she had a child and she felt abandoned by her mother. Her older sister Jessica added that it felt like June was also popping in and out of their lives.
After hearing how all of her daughters felt, June broke down crying saying: "We used to laugh and have fun, and I do miss that. I miss you all. I mean, I know that it's not going to be all hunky dory; living in the house. It will never be that way. But I don't want it to be the silence. The dead silence...that's not fun."
The sisters responded that they felt that her mother was trying to move on too fast and they still need time to recover. The mother argued that she has been sober for three years and is ready to be a family again. The therapist then chimed in and reminded June: "Clean and sober is the first step. And now, we're going to add some stuff on top of that. It's going to take consistent effort."
