A woman accused of stealing parcels, including a credit card, from a residential building has allegedly swiped it at several shops in Canberra Centre.
Police say security cameras captured her entering a unit complex in the city centre about 3.30pm on October 3 and taking packages left in the foyer.
"Enclosed in one of the parcels was an American Express (Amex) credit card, which the woman then allegedly used to make numerous purchases at multiple stores in the city," an ACT Policing spokeswoman said.
She said security footage showed the shopper in the Canberra Centre at 6pm on the same day.
The woman has been accused of making numerous purchases.
Police released images of the woman, dressed in black clothing and sunglasses, and asked the public's help to identify her.
The woman is shown carrying a black Coles bag in one image and pushing a shopping cart with multiple bags in another image.
Police also said the images were digitally altered to remove other people captured on security footage.
A spokeswoman said: "Police would urge this woman to present herself to the nearest police station."
People who could identify the woman were asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or on the Crime Stoppers ACT website. They were asked to quote reference number 7870676. Police said information could be provided anonymously.
