Malik Willis offered a mature perspective on his Titans tenure instead of giving them bulletin-board material

When they selected him in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft, the Tennessee Titans gave Malik Willis a chance at the highest level of football. Despite his never doing much on the field, they also made him a millionaire.

And for that, the now Green Bay Packers backup quarterback is eternally grateful.

On Wednesday, before a matchup with the Titans this Sunday, Willis was asked about getting potential revenge on his former team for trading him away earlier this summer. Willis refused to take the bait, explaining that the Titans will always have a special place in his heart for believing in him by bringing him to the NFL:

Of course, Willis isn’t stupid. He understands that this was a likely ploy in hopes of him providing bulletin-board material to his old team in Nashville. Even still, everything about this video comes across as genuine. There’s no reason to think he’s lying.

The Titans helped Willis achieve a dream. You won’t harbor a bitter grudge with people you feel gave you the world.
