Malik Tillman's Rangers season OVER as Ridvan Yilmaz and Rabbi Matondo to get chance to impress

Malik TIllman's Rangers season is OVER after his injury against Celtic at Hampden.

The Light Blues star was forced off in the first period of the defeat to the Hoops in the Scottish Cup semi-final. Ange Postecoglou's men ran out 1-0 winners thanks to Jota's headed goal after the Parkhead side stayed alert and capitalised on a napping Rangers defence just before half-time.

USA international Tillman limped off with the scoreline level and will now not play in the final five Premiership games of the season. His long-term future is yet to be decided between the Ibrox side and Bayern Munich with an exclusive option to make the deal permanent inserted in the original loan agreement put in place between the two clubs last summer.

Borna Barisic is also set to miss the weekend clash with Aberdeen while Ryan Kent has a few issues and will be monitored. That will hand Ridvan Yilmaz and Rabbi Matondo the chance to show what they are about - with chances limited to this point.

Speaking to the media ahead of facing the Dons, Beale said: "Malik Tillman has performed well for the club but he will be ruled out for the rest of the season due to injury.

"Tillman has been great for the club - if he wants to be here in Glasgow then that is something we would like to have further conversations on.

"Ridvan Yilmaz and Rabbi Matondo haven't had the chance to fully show themselves yet so there is an opportunity for that in the remaining games.

"Borna Barisic will miss the game at the weekend, Ryan Kent has had a few issues so we will continue to monitor him.

"We want to bounce back against Aberdeen - the players need to perform well and get a win at home. We want to finish this season strongly and build for the future."
