Malik Tillman Rangers transfer complete as arrival from Bayern Munich comes to Ibrox with 'exclusive' option

Rangers have made their fifth summer signing official after the arrival of Malik Tillman from Bayern Munich.

The Light Blues have snapped up the attacking midfielder on a season-long loan deal with the Ibrox side holding an 'exclusive' option to make the switch permanent.

Giovanni van Bronckhorst has been busy in the transfer market to date at Rangers, particularly in the last week or so, with five new faces in the door. John Souttar joined on a pre-contract earlier this year from Hearts and made his switch when the transfer window opened, while Antonio Colak, Tom Lawrence and Rabbi Matondo have all recently put pen to paper with Tillman the latest to make the switch to Govan.

He won't have much time to settle in his new surroundings with huge Champions League qualifiers on the horizon for the Ibrox men and the start of the Premiership season just weeks away as they bid to win the league back from Celtic. The journey to join Europe's elite consists of successfully negotiating two rounds of qualifying with the first one of those to be made known on Monday when the third round draw for the qualification stage is made.

"He is an exciting young talent who will further add to our attacking options and myself and the coaching staff are looking forward to working with him.”

Sporting Director Ross Wilson told Rangers' official website: “We are pleased that amongst his many options Malik has chosen to become a Rangers player.

"He’s a talented young man, one that we have been working on for a number of weeks. Not only are we pleased to welcome Malik for the season ahead we have also secured an exclusive option to buy with Bayern Munich.
