Malik Tillman in Rangers rally cry as he signs off social media post with 'We Are The People'

Malik Tillman has issued an online Rangers rally cry as he signed off from his social media address with 'We Are The People'

The Light Blues acted on Monday after a poor first half of the campaign by sacking Giovanni van Bronckhorst just days after his one year anniversary at the club. Result and performances of late have not been up to standard with dropped points against Livingston and St Mirren and defeat at St Johnstone before the World Cup shutdown.

That poor run has left the Ibrox men trailing Ange Postecoglou and Celtic by nine points at the Premiership summit with just 15 games played. The Bayern Munich loanee - who missed out a place at Qatar with the USA - believes he has learned a lot during the first period of his loan spell in Govan - but says there is still plenty of room to improve.

Tillman's form has been up and down, but he's came up with important goals in his 23 appearances to date including his stunning solo effort against Motherwell at Fir Park and the crucial Ibrox winner against Hearts in a 1-0 triumph. He also experienced playing at the very top level in the Champions League, although it wasn't a memorable return for Gers.

Taking to Instagram, alongside a video, he posted: "I’ve learnt a lot from the first half of the season. There is still plenty of room to improve and I look forward to working hard to do so. Let’s get the club back there, where it belongs #watp#comeongers."

Rangers team-mates Ianis Hagi and Rabbi Matondo both reacted to his post.

The Romanian international, who has been a long-term injury absentee, wrote: "Let's gooo" while summer recruit Matondo just posted one fire emoji.
