Malik Tillman in potential Rangers reunion after sealing PSV transfer

PSV have completed the signing of Malik Tillman.

The former Rangers loanee has joined the Eredivisie side on loan, with the Dutch giants obtaining an option to buy. He joins PSV from Bayern Munich.

And the American international could be set for an immediate return to Ibrox.

Should Rangers successfully negotiate the second leg of their third-round Champions League qualifier against Servette, then a play-off for a spot in the group stages against either PSV or Sturm Graz awaits. The Dutch side are 4-1 up half-time in their fixture.

Tillman was a hit during his time at Ibrox, winning the PFA Scotland Young Player of the Year. He scored 10 goals in 28 Premiership appearances.

Rangers had hoped to secure Tillman on a permanent deal this summer, however, Bayern knocked back their option-to-buy bid.

Instead, the German giants paid a £1million fee to Rangers and offered a ten per cent future sell-on fee as compensation for the cancellation of their previous agreement.

Meanwhile, Kenny Miller insists Rangers ran out of ideas against Servette just like they did in the league defeat to Kilmarnock.

Michael Beale’s side will take a slender 2-1 lead to Switzerland for their Champions League qualifying second leg next week but are disappointed they don’t have a greater advantage.

James Tavernier and Cyriel Dessers scored during a dominant start before Chris Bedia notched a penalty just before the break on Wednesday evening.

And even though the visiting team’s David Douline picked up a second caution on the hour mark, Rangers were unable to capitalise.
