Playmaker Malik Tillman has labelled his loan switch from Bayern Munich to Rangers as the "best decision" of his career with a permanent transfer still up in the air.
Ibrox boss Michael Beale has had a busy summer so far after getting three new signings in the door - Kieran Dowell, Dujon Sterling and Jack Butland - while Atalanta striker Sam Lammers looks set to be the fourth addition this summer. Jose Cifuentes and Cyriel Summer are also on the agenda for Beale. But talk of a permanent move for Tillman appears to have cooled despite impressing in the Scottish Premiership last term.
Rangers still hold a £5m option to buy in last season's PFA Player of the Year but interest is reportedly ramping up from the English Premier League in the 20-year-old with Brighton and Brentford touted as interest parties following his return to Bayern. However, the US international has spoken highly of his time in Govan having been one of the shining lights during a disappointing campaign last term.
Speaking to Rising Ballers, Tillman said: "I was 19 years old and I just thought you just have to play on a high level and as many games as you can so that's why I thought about going out on loan. When I first came to Rangers, I wasn't really nervous I was just excited to play for a massive, massive club.
"Everyone knows it is not always going to go the right way but for me fortunately it did. Going on loan was the best decision in my career so far. The best advice I got is basically 'enjoy what you do and believe in the things you do'."
He also opened up on his unique goal celebration which he adopted during his time at Rangers - where he covers his face with his palm with three fingers pointing out after finding the net. Tillman explained: "My first goal was against a Belgian team in the Champions League. We were 2-0 up and I scored the third goal.
"I done it my first time when I was here. I don't know, my brother told me it is three which stands for me, my mum and my brother. And just a mask on to like shut down everything else."
