Malav Rajda, who is currently directing the show Professor Pandey Ke Paanch Parivaar, is best known for his creative work on the show Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. He directed the comedy show for 14 years and quit sometime back.
Recently, Malav was surprised by one of his crew members who got a tattoo of him on his arm Malav was very touched by this gesture. He says, "Dharmesh Kadam, who does the makeup on the sets of our show, got my face tattooed on his arm. I had no idea about it. I remember he was asking for my solo picture and I told him I didn't have any. I think he took it from some website and got that tattooed on his arm. I was surprised and also overwhelmed that someone from my crew had done this to show his love and respect for me. I have been working for the past 17 years, but no one has gone to such an extent to make me feel special. It's just been a month that he has started working with us on the sets and hence it was even more surprising that in such a short span of time, he felt this way. People have told me that they like working with me because I don't shout and abuse. But this was an unbelievable gesture. I think my wife Priya (Rajda) has competition from him now!"
Talking about his first reaction when he saw the tattoo, Malav says, "I was out of words and was almost teary-eyed. I asked him why he did that and he said, 'I have worked for 12 years sir, but I haven't worked with someone like you'."
Work apart, on the personal front, Malav is a father of a three-year-old and he misses spending time with his son. He shares, "I am working for 12-14 hours every day and by the time I get home, he is sleep. But during the lockdown in 2020, I got a lot of time with him. I could see him take his first steps and that was a beautiful feeling. Whenever I get time off from work, I make sure I am with my son. We do a lot of masti. I am thankful to my wife who has sacrificed her work to take care of him. Even though she is trying to get back to work, she has refused many shows because she wants to be there for our child."
