'Make us proud!' - Man United fans react to Youth Cup final lineup as Alejandro Garnacho starts

Under-18s manager Travis Binnion has named his starting line-up for Manchester United's showdown with Nottingham Forest in the final of the FA Youth Cup final at Old Trafford this evening.

The United youngsters, who beat Wolves 3-0 in their semi-final back in March, will be looking to build on their 3-0 league triumph over Derby County last time out. Manni Norkett, Charlie McNeill and Samuel Mather all scored to earn the Reds maximum points.

Tonight, however, will see United's Under-18s switch their focus away from league matters, as they look to become the first Reds side to lift the FA Youth Cup since the likes of Paul Pogba and Jesse Lingard laid their hands on the trophy back in 2011. The youngsters have enjoyed a memorable journey to the final and are set to be backed by more than 67,000 fans at Old Trafford.

Binnion, who has watched his side lose just one of their last nine matches, has made just one change to the side that defeated Wolves in the last round of the competition. Centre-back Tyler Fredricson has dropped out of the starting line-up, meaning Scottish youngster Louis Jackson has come in.

Meanwhile, the likes of Ethan Ennis and Joe Hugill are amongst the substitutes.

Having made just one change to the side that saw off Wolves two months ago, Binnion will be hoping for a similar outcome this evening, although Forest will fancy their chances of causing another upset after getting the better of Chelsea in their own semi-final. It is the inclusion of highly-rated star Alejandro Garnacho that has attracted the most attention from United's supporters in the immediate aftermath of the team news being confirmed.

Below, MEN Sport has taken a close look at what some of United's supporters have had to say in response to Garnacho, who recently made his senior debut for the club, being included in the starting line-up, as the youngsters go in pursuit of silverware.

As you can see from the messages displayed in the tweets above, several United supporters are relishing the prospect of seeing Garnacho in action. The Argentine, who made his senior debut for the Reds in the 1-1 draw with Chelsea last month, has scored five goals in five FA Youth Cup appearances this term.

United starting line-up: Vitek; Jurado, Bennett, Jackson, Murray; Mainoo, Gore; Mather, Hansen-Aaroen, Garnacho; McNeill.

United substitutes: Wooster, Pye, Forson, Aljofree, Oyedele, Hugill, Ennis.

This evening's final at Old Trafford kicks off at 7:30pm and you can follow all of the action live on our matchday blog, which is here.
