'Make it happen' - Nottingham Forest sent Everton and Tottenham transfer pleas

Nottingham Forest supporters would like to see the returns of two loan players after both Djed Spence and James Garner slipped through their fingers this summer.

Promotion heroes Spence and Garner briefly shared the pitch on Saturday afternoon as Tottenham beat Everton 2-0 in the Premier League. Former Forest wing-back Spence came on for the last two minutes of the game, meaning there was a moment where the duo were in action together once more.

It was a sight that broke Forest hearts all over again, with supporters desperate to see the two men back in Garibaldi red. Some have been talking about how different things would be with Spence and Garner in the Forest squad this season, while those of a more optimistic persuasion want the pair to return in January. Below is a look at what supporters have been saying.

@ChrisDraper77 : Feel like pure rubbish just want Spence, Garner & Davis back

@SimonBullock74 : Instead of 22 signings, I’m sure had we gone all out for Spence, Garner and Davis we’d be in a better position now.

@rhys_higgins : Forest need to go and sign Davis and Spence no matter the cost in January

@TheBoxingWriter : I would give 10 players back to have Spence, Garner and Zink back.

@themreds1 : Last season Spence and Johnson would link up on the wing at least 6/7 times a game. I genuinely don’t think I’ve seen Williams and Johnson do it once all season. Missing him big time

@Johnnno90 : Spence barely gets a kick at spurs, same with Garner, Davis is playing in the Champs, he's wasted there, and Zinck is rotting away in Belgium, and Samba was wrongfully booted back to France. Breaks my heart how we didn't keep that team, and then add sensibly to it

@michaelkehoe : Come home Djed. A great player being totally disrespected at Tottenham. Forest and Spence will both benefit massively if he returns. Make it happen in Jan

@Dave77239226 : Spence coming on for Spurs and Garner on for Everton but apparently Forest have signed better players than these two.

@NatalieRachelxx : Wish we had signed Spence, Garner & Davis and gone from there. I pray we turn this around, pick up some points and fight to stay in the place we fought so hard to get to last season. 23 years away - let’s not go straight back
