UK-based tech company Majority have only been around since 2012, but in this short time, they have made quite a name for themselves by creating premium products at a slightly cheaper price point and for their ‘Plant a tree’ initiative.
Amongst their illustrious list of audio devices, Majority has a wide selection of soundbars that cater to different consumer needs. The Everest True Wireless Surround Sound System looks to be Majority’s most ambitious soundbar to date.
Majority’s Everest is a 5.1 sound system made up of a soundbar, subwoofer and two satellite speakers.
But what makes this set-up special is that the satellite speakers can be connected to the main soundbar or detached to create the 5.1 set-up.
Like other soundbars from Majority, the Everest is massive measuring 90 x 9.83 x 6.56 cm with an additional 16.8cm once the two satellite speakers are added on each end. In a nutshell, Everest is huge, so will need ample room to fit your set-up.
I was very impressed with the Everest's build quality which includes a metal mesh at the front, protecting the built-in speakers. The rest of the speaker is housed in a metal case that feels very durable and robust, especially on the satellite speakers.
The Everest design includes an LCD display on the front, which really helps when selecting the right settings compared to other sound bars which have the screen located on the top.
The Everest also includes two side panels which can be placed on either side of the sound bar once the Satellite speakers have been detached. Alongside this, the Everest comes built with wall mounts allowing it to be set up in a variety of locations.
The Everest’s sound set-up is completed with a wireless subwoofer which is smaller than the Sierra one measuring 20 x 20 x 25 cm, but it still has the same amazing range of 10 meters.
The Satellite speakers come with base plates that allow them to be placed almost anywhere with ease.
Majority have also included a remote control that will grant you full authority over the soundbar.
But what’s impressive is that it will allow you to control the volume for each different element of the sound system and even turn them off separately.
Like other products from Majority the Everest sound system is a stellar audio device with a premium build and what’s great to see is that Majority have extended this fantastic build quality to the satellite speakers.
The obvious selling point of the Everest sound system is its ability to change from a solo speaker to a surround sound set-up with ease.
What’s even more impressive is that the satellite speakers can be placed 20 meters away from the main speaker, granting you a lot of room to experiment with your setup.
I was further impressed with how each of these detachable speakers can offer up to eight hours of playback from a single charge or can run off the mains via a USB C charger.
The audio quality from these miniature speakers may only come from a single driver but I was very impressed with how well they complemented the main soundbar to create an immersive 3D experience.
The Everest sound system features a few input connections including an HDMI ACR, 3.5mm audio input cable, optical input and USB A. This is a nice selection to choose from however it is lacking compared to the Sierra plus.
It can also be connected wirelessly using Bluetooth but omits any connection over WiFi meaning it can’t be used with AirPlay.
That being said I was more than happy with the audio quality over Bluetooth which was just fantastic, I didn’t feel the need to resort to a wired connection.
The audio quality is incredible with the 300-watt system working fantastically alongside the wireless subwoofer and satellite speakers to create a wonderful 3D immersive experience.
I was particularly blown away when playing games, especially when using the 3D audio function on my Playstation 5.
The speakers come with three different EQ presets which elevate the listening experience in their own way, but even without using one of these presets the sound system has a wide soundstage with powerful bass from the subwoofer alongside clear-sounding highs and mids.

Majority’s Everest sound system is absolutely fantastic and given the cheaper price point, I was thoroughly impressed with just how wonderful everything sounded.
The Everest sound system truly triumphs at creating a cinematic experience that will elevate any set up it is incorporated into.
