Major supermarket follows Aldi, Asda and Costco with plans to stock Prime drink

Another major supermarket in the UK has confirmed plans to start stocking Prime. The hugely popular hydration drink was created by Youtubers Logan Paul and KSI in 2022.

The beverage, which comes in a variety of flavours, arrived in the UK a few months later but was like gold dust to get hold of and as a result caused mass hysteria due to how fast it was being sold out.

Prime was initially sold in Asda stores across the UK but demand rose so high that some independent retailers were selling them for as much as £8.50 in Manchester with even higher prices on sites like eBay. Over Christmas, there were long queues at Aldi’s across the country when the retailer began selling the drink as a Special Buy limiting buyers to just three bottles per purchase.

Costco also stocked the drink for a limited period.

And now, Morrisons has become the latest big name to confirm it will be adding Prime to its shelves. The supermarket giant has not yet confirmed dates for when the drink will be stocked but in a statement to the M.E.N, said: "We are looking to bring PRIME into stores."

The business venture for Logan and KSI who were once enemies has been extremely lucrative. Speaking on KIIS FM's The Kyle and Jackie O Show on Tuesday, Paul, 27, said ‘in year one we cleared $250 million in retail sales and $110million gross internally.'

He also added that in January 2023 alone, they did $45 million. "We definitely cracked the code. We hit a few really important things that are a staple marketing ploy of this generation," Paul said.

Paul explained how he and KSI, 29, utilised their social media presence and content creation talents to keep the product in fans' minds. KSI added that he does not know any brand that has moved as fast as them.
