One of the UK's most popular shops is selling plants for 1p. The plants usually cost £6.50 each, but have been reduced to 1p.
It sounds too good to be true, but whether it is or not depends on how green-fingered you are. The plants, which are being sold by B&M, are looking a little bit worse for wear, though many shoppers are convinced you can bring them back to life if you really try.
Posting on Extreme Couponing and Bargains, Denise Mitsides wrote: "B&M bargain £6.50 to 1p. I think even Jesus couldn’t resurrect these. I suppose if you’re desperate for a plant pot 1p isn’t bad."

Beverley Spellman wrote: "We’ve got some grass like this at home and it never gets watered but still survives, has spread by itself, I love it, the other half hates it, he’s a gardener but can’t understand why I like grasses like this, it’s so hardy and I’d have grabbed the lot given half a chance."
Alissa Victoria Cornish said: "You'd be surprised my blue grass looked like this. Only a few blue strands left, I removed all the dead ones and my plants now surviving! Also got 3 blossom trees from B&Q for £12 because they couldn't be a*sed to water them. Cut off the dead branches and they're happy as Larry!"
Tina Willson suggested: "You would be surprised we have had some plants from tesco that look like they wouldn’t survive a little bit of tomato feed in the water and they come up fine it’s because they don’t water them." Jacky Bacon commented: "To pay 1p and put the plant into a bucket of water overnight and they can be revived.
Natalie Horsburgh said: "The amount of half dead plants I've brought from b&m! My garden is full of them, given a good trim and plenty of water they will come back better then before!" Becki North said: "For 1p it's worth buying and trying ,I bet they come back to life even if it's next year."
Rafaela Armitage said: "I've bought loads of 10p plants that would of died and are now blossoming beautifully. Don't give up on them. For a 1p give them a chance." Tina Baileyboo Smallahaw chimed in: "I would buy loads just for the satisfaction of watching them come back to life."
Some shoppers, though, weren't so convinced. Katrina Popoff Screamer Hollis said: "I like to help plants from poorly corner but even I could not breath life into these." Elsey Clare slammed: "I hate the way they let them die before reducing them." Christine Relf said: "Even I couldn't resuscitate them. Too sad."
Explaining why plants can sometimes be dry outside stores, Anne James said: "I work for B&Q in the garden centre and customers either complain the plants are dry, can't water in the full sun, if we do water they moan about the mess it will make in the car, we can't please everyone but I know at my store we work damn hard to look after the plants!"
