Police are continuing to search for a missing man last seen at a petrol station almost a week ago. Extensive searches have been taking place following the disappearance of Peter Baglin, 55, who hasn't been since just days after Christmas, on the evening of December 28.
Officers have been conducting huge searches in Boothstown, Astley and Higher Green areas of Greater Manchester in the days since Peter was reported as missing. Specialist search teams were also seen in the woodland near to the Bridgewater Canal in Boothstown, Salford, on December 30 as part of the extensive investigation.
Officers were seen searching the canal, near Moss House Lane before the search appeared to switch to woodland nearby, including the football pitches used by Boothstown Football Club. Searches by members of the local community and family in the area are also continuing.

CCTV images were then released of the last sighting of the 55-year-old, at the Texaco Garage on East Lancashire Road in Mosley Common at 7.38pm on December 28, wearing a grey zip-up hoodie and blue grey jogging bottoms. He had left home just minutes before the images were captured.
In a reissued appeal on Tuesday night (January 3), Greater Manchester Police said: "Police are becoming increasingly concerned for the welfare and safety of a Salford man who has been missing from home for the last five days.
"Peter, 55, from Boothstown, was last seen on Wednesday 28 December 2022 at 7.38pm at the Texaco Garage on East Lancashire Road in Mosley Common, after leaving his home at 7.30pm.
"He is approximately five foot 10 inches tall, with short grey hair at the side, with it a bit longer at top. He was wearing a grey zip-up hoodie and blue grey jogging bottoms (pictured).
"There are extensive searches being carried out in the Boothstown, Astley and Higher Green areas, and officers are asking anyone who may have seen Peter, or anyone with any other information regarding Peter's whereabouts, to contact them on 0161 856 8351, via 101 or by speaking to the independent charity – Crimestoppers – anonymously on 0800 555 111."
